Evening Prayer – 25 November 2016

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

As we reflect upon the day that has passed

Praying for those who face overwhelming odds

Discerning how to stand with the oppressed

How to speak with the passion of a Prophet

How to love as Jesus has taught us to love

Lord, help us to stand against oppression

Help us to stand against selfish and greedy megalomaniacs

Help us to hold forth your light in this darkness

Lord, help us to live and love and pray

Help us to be witnesses to your Hope

In your mercy, Lord, hear our prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem 

Grant Us Peace
