Evening Prayer – 6 November 2016

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

After a full Lord’s day

Gathered around the Lord’s table

Breaking bread and praying together

Hearing the Word of hope in the midst of darkness 

Now it is time for us to rest

Seeking the deep peace of our Lord

Preparing for a day of travel

Preparing for a week of study

As this nation continues to worry

As this nation continues to groan

Lord, in your mercy, hear this prayer 

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
