Evening Prayer – 18 October 2016

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

A gentle reminder today of the need

The need to be still in God’s presence

In the midst of busyness to slow down

To simply breathe in the Spirit’s calm

To breathe out the world’s anxiety

To breathe in the peace of Christ

To breathe out the world’s fear

To take time for Sabbath rest and reflection

To always be mindful in prayer for others

To hold them and then release them to God’s heart

Lord, in your mercy, hear this humble prayer 

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
