Evening Prayer – 11 October 2016

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

On the day of Yom Kippur I come before you, Lord

A prayer for myself, for this nation, this world

Lord, forgive our individual sins

Lord, forgive our corporate sins

Lord, forgive our national sins

Lord, forgive our international sins

Our sins of commission and omission

Our love of possessions rather than people

Our love of power and control rather than humble service

Lord, we pray for your healing balm

May it flow over the world you created

May it cleanse, transform, renew

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer 

Dona Nobis Pacem 

Grant Us Peace
