Evening Prayer – 23 September 2016

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

A long day of travel is complete

Time with family and fellowship with dear friends

A very sleepy Padre lifts this simple prayer

Guard and protect this night, O Lord

All who work and watch and weep

Keep your children in your tender care

May they know your presence and comfort

May your healing touch be upon them

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer 

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
