Evening Prayer – 12 September 2016

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

Another day of ministry winds down

Meetings and visioning and support

In the midst of this Monday

I remember the cares of the community

I remember the cares of the world

The schedule can become overwhelming

The prayers of this world can as well

How do we stay the course, Lord

When the storms swirl around us

Help us to find the place of calm

Help us to find rest and restoration in you

Help us to move from the place of rest

To the place where we can be your light

That we might shine your light in the darkness 

That we might share your hope

That we might share your peace

With a world that is broken

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer 

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
