Evening Prayer – 29 August 2016

A day of work, fellowship, celebration

A day of thanksgiving for many blessings

Now, as the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

A sleepy Padre prepares for a good night’s rest

Before my heavy eyelids close

I lift up one more prayer of thanksgiving 

For community, friends, family, and calling

For the opportunity to serve you here, O Lord

Lord, with a thankful heart, I lift this prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem 

Grant Us Peace
