Evening Prayer – 13 August 2016

A long, full day of trips to the airport for Denise and travel and a Presbytery meeting for me

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker 

As a sleepy family prepares for rest

Tomorrow’s Lord’s day will be busy

Sweet sleep, gently close our eyes

Lord, give gentle and sweet rest to all your children

Watch over those who work or watch or weep this night

Give your holy angels charge over them

May our sleep be sweet and full

That we might be refreshed to serve you tomorrow

For all of your children, I lift this simple prayer 

Dona Nobis Pacem 

Grant Us Peace
