Evening Prayer – 29 July 2016

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights are lit

A wonderful day of Sabbath rest

Spent in the wonder of God’s creation

We are blessed to live in the Rocky Mountains

Hiking today, we were overwhelmed with God’s goodness

Rounding the corner, we nearly run into this magnificent creature

Eye to eye for a moment

Spellbound by this encounter

Completely in awe of God’s creation

With this in mind, I lift up my prayer

For those who have lost hope

Lord, circle them with your presence

For those who are in need of your healing

Lord, circle them with your healing hands 

For those who live in fear

Lord, circle them with your protection 

As this moose, a gentle giant, reminds us

You are the Creator of all good things

Lord, in your, mercy, hear our prayer
Dona Nobis Pacem 

Grant Us Peace
