Evening Prayer – 22 July 2016

The sun has set and the Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

A much needed day of Sabbath rest

Thankful for that Sabbath

Yet mindful of those who have no rest

Those for whom life is a daily struggle

Those who’s lives are surrounded by violence

Surrounded by hatred

Surrounded by fear

Surrounded, yet horribly alone

Lord, help us to be your instruments

Instruments of your wholeness

Instruments of your restoration

Instruments of your healing

Instruments of your peace

Lord in your mercy 

Hear this prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem 

Grant Us Peace
