Evening Prayer – 14 July 2016

The Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

As my evening prayer lifts to you, O Lord

While we were having a lovely hike

The people of France were once again reeling

Lord, you must surely weep at the chaos

Your heart must break as your children 

Created in your own image and likeness

The ones you called very good

Have such a callous disregard for other lives

Once again, my agonizing prayer lifts to you

A prayer for healing

A prayer for calm

A prayer for hearts to be truly transformed

For YOUR love to prevail

Lord, in your mercy hear our prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem 

Grant Us Peace
