The Vesper Lights flicker

As this exhausted Padre finally slows down

Wondering what to say… What to pray…

At times like this, Romans 8:28 comforts

“Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words.”

Lord, the spirits of so many cry out

With groans too deep for words

A world is in pain

A world is suffering

So much, Lord, so much

Comfort, comfort your people, Lord

Hear their silent cries

Hear their heartfelt plea

Dona Nobis Pacem 

Grant Us Peace
