The Vesper Lights flicker and glow 

Another full day on the road with ministry

People who are hurting

People who are in transition

A community gathered to share and pray

With so much hurt in the world

It is difficult not to absorb it and be consumed

It is also difficult not to grow callous 

Dallas… Minnesota… Baton Rouge… Orlando… So much hatred and fear

Circle your Creation, Lord

Keep evil without

Bring your healing peace within

Lord, as we pray, may we also act

Love to replace hate

Peace to replace fear

Unity to replace division

Make us one, Lord, make us one

Make us instruments of your peace

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer 

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
