Evening Prayer – 17 June 2016

A drive in the Park

The sun was just about hidden

Another beautiful day in the Rockies

An evening of fellowship with dear friends

An opportunity to pause, reflect, give thanks

Despite the horror and hatred in this world

I see glimmers of hope for us all

If we would but consider the flowers of the mountain

How they flourish and grow

Does not God care for each of God’s children

Like the hen covers her brood under her wings

Protecting, nurturing, loving each one

So God calls us to love one another 

So God calls us to act and to pray

Act in the spirit of Grace, Mercy, Love

To pray with and for all of God’s children

To lift this humble prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace

Peace for ALL of God’s children

Make us instruments of that Peace

May we live to love others

Make this our clarion call
