Evening Prayer – 21 March 2016

  
Isaiah 42:1 Here is my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights; I have put my spirit upon him; he will bring forth justice to the nations.

On this Monday in Holy Week we remember

Mary anointing Jesus’ feet with costly nard

As the Vesper Lights flicker and glow

I can almost smell the wondrous fragrance

Imagining the scene I weep

Lord, may my tears and my prayers

Be a sacred offering to you this night

Help us to walk with you down this road

May we be your witness to love

Just as Mary was that night

Hear my prayer as I fall at your feet

For this world and for all your creation

Dona Nobis Pacem 

Grant Us Peace
