Evening Prayer – 29 February 2016

  
The sun has long ago set

The Vesper Lights are flickering and glowing

Thankful for a day in the wonder of your creation

Thankful for time spent with the majestic  Rocky Mountain Elk

I lift my Evening Prayer to you

For those I know who are recovering from surgery

Circle them, Lord, with your healing

For those I know who are walking through the Valley of the Shadows

Circle them, Lord, with your loving presence

For this nation, which seems to be lost

Restore in us an ethic based upon Micah 6:8

That we might do YOUR Justice, not evil

That we might love Kindness, not hatred

That we might walk Humbly with you, in the paths of the homeless carpenter from Nazareth, your Son, our Savior

Lord, in your mercy, hear my heartfelt prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem 

Grant Us Peace 

Grant Us YOUR Peace!

Make us instruments of YOUR Peace!
A wee prayer from the heart of your Padre who is both thankful for where God has called him to minister and fearful for the state of this nation…
