The Bible and Metaphors-The Heavens Declare the Glory of God

Psalm 19 begins with, “The heavens declare the glory of God.”  this morning as I drove to my Sunrise Rotary meeting, I marveled at the sunrise and this scripture came to mind.  I knew this was the metaphor I would write about today.

Sunsets breaking through the darkness filling the sky with color and light

Funny shaped clouds inviting us to lay back on a grassy hill and ponder life

Reflections on trees and sky and mountains rippling through the waters

Birds majestically flying in tight formation

Stars twinkling and placed in delightful patterns

Gentle breezes and great winds

Airplanes contrails showing how God created great minds

Red, pink, yellow, and orange filling the sky as the sun goes down

Surely the heavens declare God’s glory!
