The Bible and Metaphors–Living Water
Another thoughtful Lenten reflection from my sweet partner in life and ministry

I’ve been thinking a good bit about water as a metaphor and living water in particular. It’s such a strange phrase but I never thought of it as odd before now. I think we get so used to hearing something that we just accept it without thought.
This morning I woke up thinking about the woman at the well. Jesus offered her living water. What other scriptures, I wondered, speak of living water and what exactly does it mean? Jesus offered the woman living water and in Jeremiah God is called the fountain of living water.
