Evening Prayer – 2 February 2016

  
Today was a snow day… A foot fell between yesterday and today. It was also a day for reflection, for funeral planning, and our puppy Pixie’s recovery from oral surgery.

As the snow fell, we were reminded

How your love covers us like like a warm blanket

How precious and fragile the life we have is

Now, as the Vesper Lights are lit

We lift to you, O Lord, our Evening Prayer 

Remind us, Lord, of our sacred calling

A calling to do justice 

A calling to love mercy

A calling to walk humbly with you

To love you with all that we are

With our heart, mind, soul, and strength 

To love our neighbor as ourselves 

To love ALL of our neighbors

Help us so to do…

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer 

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace
