Evening Prayer – 30 January 2016

  
Another wonderful class in Columbia Theological Seminary’s Lifelong Learning Certificate in Christian Spiritual Formation is nearly complete. As always, a wonderful course and hospitality. Sadly, we will return home to plan a funeral for a sweet member of our congregation who went today to rest in the arms of our Lord. A sweet woman of deep faith who had an infectious smile and love for her Lord and for her extended family.

Lord, we thank you for this opportunity for study

We thank you for this sabbath rest

We thank you for the life and spiritual legacy of dear Dot

We thank you for the opportunty to love and serve in your name

As the Vesper Lights flicker

As our prayers rise like incense

Calm our hearts, Lord

Hear our prayer

Comfort those who mourn

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer

Dona Nobis Pacem 

Grant Us Peace
