Evening Prayer- 22 January 2016
After a delightful evening with members of the Pastor Search Committee who are now our support team at the church, we went up into the Rocky Mountain National Park for a moonlight drive. It was gorgeous! Sadly, I haven’t figured out how to take good nighttime pictures yet… This picture was taken from our driveway with my iPhone.
With the silvery glow of a nearly full moon
We light the Vesper Lights and say our Evening Prayers
In the beauty of the mountains
We see the evidence of your wondrous creation
Help us to be mindful of your presence, Lord
Not just in the majesty that is Rocky
But in the simple things that surround us
In the life of our neighbors, friends, and even strangers
Grant us sweet rest for the night
Thank you for the gifts of this day
For this world, Lord, I pray
Dona Nobis Pacem
Grant Us Peace
A wee prayer from the mellow and thankful heart of your Padre after an evening of breathtaking wonder and tremendous fellowship…
