Evening Prayer – 29 December 2015

 
As the year draws to a close

We look back in wonder and in shame

The signs of your presence, grace, and love

Overshadowed by shameful behavior and hatred

So as we light the Vesper Lights

As we say our evening prayers

We pray for ourselves and this world

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer

For these days and the new year ahead

Dona Nobis Pacem

Grant Us Peace

And in the words of St Francis

Lord, make us instruments of your peace
