Evening Prayer – 27 December 2015

  
Christmas Eve Services were wonderful! 470 at the 5 pm, 90 at the 8 pm. Communion offered and candles lit. What a blessing and honor to lead worship!

Today, we mixed Christmas with mourning. The memorial service reminded me that even in the midst of joy, people are mourning. Again, an honor and blessing to share God’s love.

Lord, tonight, as the Vesper lights are lit

Tonight, as the fire glows

I lift up my prayer for those who mourn

I lift up my prayer for those who live in fear

I lift up my prayer for those who see only darkness and despair

Thank you for the privilege to offer light

Thank you for the opportunity to offer love

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer
