Reflections During Advent

Waiting…for whole world to be filled with joy
for peace on earth
and goodwill toward all men and women and children
for lions and lambs to find comfort in each other’s warmth
for the every sword and shield to be piled by the riverside
and a world where we won’t have to study war but rather talk about how foolish we once were fighting and killing each other
for a world where won’t have to pray for our enemies because we will all love one another
for the Prince of Peace to reign
