Evening Reflection – 17 November 2015

On my way to work this morning, I stopped by our neighborhood coffee shop (Coffee on the Rocks in Estes Park, Colorado) to take some pictures after our snowfall last night. After I took some pictures of the pond, this Mallard Duck flew towards me. Unfortunately, I didn’t think to take a picture of him in flight as I was too busy being entranced by his flight. Isn’t it funny how God sometimes captures our attention in the same way?

Suddenly, from out of nowhere, God’s Spirit speaks to our hearts. Yet we have to be prepared to not only listen, but to simply be still and allow God to reveal God’s self.

Lord, help me to be still and know… and in being still to hear your call for my life… May I be so mesmerized in awe and wonder yet be able to hear what you want to share with me…
