Evening Prayer – 23 July 2015

Lord on this night, I pause in my mind’s eye
I pause by the running water and simply be

Lord, in your mercy, hear my prayer
As the waters flow, so my prayers flow to you

I pray for friends who are in need of your healing touch
I pray that they may feel your healing in body and spirit

I pray for those who are feeling abandoned and alone
I pray that they may feel your loving arms wrapped about them

I pray for those who face prejudice of all sorts every day
I pray that barriers may be broken down that they may be welcomed

I pray for those who are in the midst of violence all around the world
I pray that your peace may be in their hearts and transform lives

Lord, in your mercy, hear my prayer
Dona Nobis Pacem, Grant Us Peace
