Evening Prayer – 21 July 2015

Lord, in the midst of the beauty of your creation
We find reminders of the harshness of the land
We find reminders of ignorance and hatred
We find reasons to weep

Lord, in the midst of our weeping
We call to remembrance your love
We call to remembrance your mercy
We find reasons to hope

Lord, in the midst of ignorance and hatred
We look for your reconciling love
We look for ways to spread peace
We find a way to share the truth of your love, justice, and mercy

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer
As we pray for people bent on hatred and division
As we pray for understanding and compassion to overcome
Help us to be instruments of your peace

Dona Nobis Pacem
Grant Us Peace
