Evening Prayer – 1 July 2015

Lord, sometimes it feels like we are tilting at windmills

How do you keep patience with your wayward children?
Yet in looking at the windmill I am reminded

As the wind moves the wheel, so your Spirit moves lives
Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer

May your Holy Spirit blow anew in our hearts
May your Spirit blow anew in this world

Transforming hearts and minds
Where there is bigotry and hatred

Transform hearts and lives
Where there is small-mindedness, gossip, and slander

Open hearts and minds to your Truth which is Love 
Help us, dear Lord, in the words of Micah

To do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with you
A wee prayer from the Padre’s heart to yours…
