Upon watching the movie, “The Mission” and pondering our inhumanity towards one another… This sunken boat somehow reveals to me the horror of humankind’s inhumanity towards humankind…

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer

A prayer for forgiveness

A prayer for redemption

A prayer that we may learn

Learn a way other than violence

Learn a way other than greed

Learn a way other than hatred

Learn a way other than oppression

Lord in your mercy

Show us your way

Show us the way of Love

Show us the way of Peace

Show us the way of Christ

Help us to be

Be the light shining in the darkness

Be the light of Christ

Be the light of Hope

Be the light of Your Love

Lord, in your mercy

Hear our prayer
