Healthcare For All–Is it Biblical?

I believe healthcare should be available to everyone. James 1:27

“Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless. Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” James 1:26-27

There’s a lot of talk about who “deserves” healthcare. Depending on who you talk to, unemployed and underemployed people are either lazy (mooching off the system) or unfortunate (born into poverty). I believe there are people of both kinds, and it’s not as simple as we like to think.
